Tyson Fury says he will knock Deontay Wilder out within one round after putting pen to paper on a contract to fight the American on July 24.
WBC world heavyweight champion Fury was primed to face Anthony Joshua in a unification bout in Saudi Arabia on August 14 after the Gypsy King announced on social media that an agreement had been reached.
However, an arbitration hearing earlier this week ruled that Wilder was contractually obliged to a trilogy clash with Fury, putting an all-British encounter on hold.
In a video posted by Top Rank Boxing in the early hours of Sunday morning, Fury signed his deal to fight Wilder and sent a stark warning to the Bronze Bomber.
‘Wilder’s a pussy and an excuse maker and a shithouse,’ Fury said.
‘Shall we do it and put him out of his misery? Put him seriously smashed to bits?
‘Crack his other side of his skull, give him another shoulder injury, another bicep injury, a leg injury, nutsack injury the whole lot.
‘Wilder, contract signed, you’re getting smashed. You’re getting knocked out.
‘End of, one round, you’re going.
‘I’ve got your soul, your mojo, your everything, I own you.’
The last time the pair met – in Las Vegas on February 2020 – Fury scooped the WBC title after a seventh-round TKO, which followed a controversial draw in the first fight in December 2018.
Joshua, meanwhile, the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion, has been warned by the WBO to fight mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk or face being stripped of his title.
