Hollyoaks’ Martine Deveraux (Kelle Bryan) makes a decision about her treatment which leaves her nearest and dearest in shock.
The popular character found a lump on her breast last month, and subsequently took a trip to the hospital to get said lump checked out.
Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) initially turned her away, but after realising her mistake, she pleaded with Martine to come to the hospital as a matter of urgency.
Martine did just that, and while there she learned that her lump had been deemed ‘suspicious,’ and would therefore she would need a biopsy.
Next week, the matriarch lies to her family about not hearing from the hospital, but Celeste Faroe (Andrea Ali) discovers that she has an appointment with her oncologist later that day.
Martine makes a shocking decision regarding her treatment, which forces the Deveraux clan to intervene.
Amid the intervention, Martine opens up about her mum’s battle with cancer, and later she meets with the woman who interviewed her for the Business Woman of the Year award, and they discuss what’s next following the award reveal.
The woman is rude to her once more, forcing Martine to stand up to her, and this encounter ultimately makes her come to a huge realisation.
Just what is it that Martine has realised?
