Kim Tate (Claire King) has been blissfully unaware for weeks that she’s being poisoned in Emmerdale.
Kim has been drinking from her brandy decanter and her symptoms have slowly been getting worse. The formidable character thinks her confused behaviour is down to dementia, but little does she know someone is out to get her.
Until now.
As Kim’s paranoia grows, she opens fire in a bid to protect herself – but has she shot her poisoner dead?
When Kim viciously takes her worries out on Gabby (Rosie Bentham), Gabby tells Noah (Jack Downham) that she’s not going to be pushed around much longer.
Will (Dean Andrews) tries to check in on Kim but her paranoid state only makes her more suspicious.
Kim decides to send Will packing and after firmly bolting the door behind him, she sits alone in her house.
As the drugged brandy causes Kim to hear phantom intruders, she reaches for a shotgun to protect herself and carries on drinking.
The next day, her emotions all over the place, an encounter with Dawn (Olivia Bromley) and Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) only deepens Kim’s anxiety.
Speaking to Will at Woodbine, Dawn’s at her wit’s end with Kim and explains that if Will won’t sort her out, maybe she’ll have to be the one to do it.
As Kim sits inside Home Farm clutching her shotgun, she is shocked to see a figure enter the house on the CCTV system.
Terrified, Kim fires her gun at the intruder, but who has she shot?
And, most importantly, has Kim killed them?
