Ashley Cain's tribute to Azaylia

Ashley Cain has paid tribute to daughter Azaylia on what would have been her nine-month birthday with a new video of them together.

The Ex On The Beach star shared the sweet footage of him having fun with Azaylia, who died from acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) in April, calling her ‘my inspiration’.

He confessed he found it hard to look back through photos and videos of them together.

In the video he shared on Instagram, he kisses Azaylia on the head and says ‘Let’s get ’em champ’ while raising his arms.

His daughter copies him, making Ashley laugh before he cuddles her and gives her more kisses on the cheek.

The footballer wrote in the caption: ‘Today Azaylia turned 9 months old in heaven. 👼🏼🧡.

‘I’m finding it hard to look through photos and videos at the moment. So I blindly scrolled through and posted the first video my finger landed on. & what an beautiful video it was!

‘What a strong, clever, brave and beautiful little girl you were. My champion, my hero… MY INSPIRATION! ✨🦁 AzayliaDiamondCain

‘FOREVER IN MY HEART ❤️’.

Ashley and his girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee have been open on social media about how they have been coping since Azaylia’s death.

The reality TV star recently confessed he was struggling to respond to all the messages of love and support they had been sent.

He said: ‘I’m finding it very difficult to talk at the moment. But I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who is showing us support through this extremely difficult time.

‘The love messages, pictures, videos, etcetera are very warming and the time being taken out of people’s lives to comfort ours, is nothing short of incredible.

‘Thank you. We appreciate every single one of you.’

The couple, who welcomed Azaylia in August 2020, had planned to take her to Singapore for treatment after their fund-raising page hit the £1million mark.

However they were left crushed as doctors in Singapore told them she would not be able to have the treatment as her cancer was too rare.

Donations have now passed the £1.6million mark and Ashley and Safiyya plan to use the money to set up a charity in their daughter’s name.

In a lengthy update on the fundraiser page, they explained that they were using the money ‘positively’, and are also putting some towards her funeral.
