It’s an unsettling week for many in Neighbours with lies, underhand tactics, and some weird energy going on in Erinsborough.
That weird energy emanates from Toadie (Ryan Moloney), who’s hiding a dirty secret. But Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) is on the case and about to uncover the filth.
Harlow (Jemma Donovan) is learning from Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) with his underhand tactics and when he thinks he’s about to get through to her, she hits him with an ultimatum. The student becomes the master.
Speaking of ultimatums, Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) has a doozy of one to slap David and Aaron with over their unborn baby. After what she’s been through, she has the right to be angry, but is this ultimatum a step too far and could it destroy their little modern family?
Elsewhere, Ned (Ben Hall) and Bea (Bonnie Anderson) both separately get caught out; him for handing over the Hive’s financials and her for snooping through Sheila C’s car. And it doesn’t end well for either of them.
Here’s what’s ahead in Neighbours.
Toadie’s sexy secret exposed
Mackenzie has noticed Toadie is being incredibly rude to Melanie in the office and confronts him on it. To her surprise, he agrees to be a bit nicer. The weird change of heart rings bells in Mack’s head. She’s close to guessing, but she’s not quite worked out that Toadie and Mel are totally doing it – all over the office. His dislike for her was all an act. It’s a wonder they haven’t got caught yet with all the risks their taking. They’re loving the thrill, but a near miss with Terese shakes them up and they vow to each other to be more careful. It clearly wasn’t enough of a shock though, as Toadie returns to work looking totally dishevelled after one particularly raucous meeting with Mel, and he’s stupid enough to think Mackenzie won’t cotton on.
Harlow and Paul face off
Paul is still 100% in Harlow’s bad books and he’s desperate to make amends. Her resolve starts to thaw and Paul sees this as his way in, but in usual Paul style he goes about it all ham-fisted. Harlow agrees to talk, but she has a caveat – she’ll talk if he agrees to hire his PI to find Brent. When he refuses they return to their stalemate, and the gap between grandfather and granddaughter is widening.
Bea loses it
After snooping through Sheila C’s car and finding the dossier on Ned, Bea is in a bit of trouble. Naturally, she had it all wrong and is now about to be on the receiving end of a massive complaint. She’s hoping she can stop it getting as far as Lucas, but it’s a baseless hope as Sheila C has no intention of keeping this to herself. Bea braces herself to come clean to Lucas, but when she does she’s shocked to discover he already knows. It turns out Levi was the one who dropped her in it with Lucas. She now has her boyfriend to blame for being unemployed. This will not go down well.
Ned gets caught
Ned tells Sheila how much he loves his life in Erinsborough, but life as he knows it is set to be shattered when Terese discovers the truth – she confronts him when she learns he was the one who leaked The Hive’s financials to Sheila C. Terese is ready to come clean to Paul, what will this mean for Ned?
Nicolette slaps Aaron and David with shock ultimatum
Nicolette reaches breaking point over Brent and Emmett. She’s fed up of Aaron and David putting them before her unborn baby. Especially as their most recent off the wall behaviour nearly got her and her baby killed. She’s even more fuming that while she recovers, the lads are off in search of Brent. Given that their unborn child was nearly crushed to death because of Brent, Nic is miffed. She delivers an ultimatum; it’s her or the brothers. They can’t have both.
Emmett has a huge decision
Before anyone has the chance to fully take stock of what Nic is demanding, Jenna shows up and she wants Emmett back. But who called her? Aaron and David are horrified at her unexpected arrival and they turn on Nicolette. But was she the one who called Jenna? While she fights to prove her innocence, Emmett has a decision to make – his mum wants to take him with her and he has to work out whether he can trust her. And then Paul comes clean – it was him who brought Jenna back into their lives. What has he done?
Scenes air from Monday 17th May on Channel 5.
